I have a bunch of binary mixtures of two solvents (i.e. water and ethanol) of different composition, from water mol.frac. 0 to 1. For each of them I have the experimental density. Now I want to calculate the partial molar volumes for water and ethanol at each composition. How can I do that?

Did you know that Professor D.I.Mendeleev (Mendeleev Table Of Elements) studied the problem you are asking about in his PhD dissertation? I'm not an expert in this area and can't help you. I believe that this is well described in the literature. This is a key in making vodka, whiskey, brandy, etc

Thank you all. I have managed to resolve my problem. What I did is explained in the book "Thermodynamics in Materials Science, Second Edition" by De Hoff. Knowing the Excess Molar Volume as a function of composition and differentiating it, the Partial Molar Volumes are rapidly obtained for both the components extrapolating to molar fraction 0 and 1 the tangent line to the Excess Molar Volume function at any point.
