COVID-19 is definitely an unwanted crisis but it has played a highly significant role to shake and make understood the world leaders that heath system, health matters, academicians and researchers have to be patronized in priority. It is a disaster but simultaneously an eyeopener as well.

Though most stock markets (and oil prices) have nosedived recently, the transitory effects will have prolonged impacts on economies and companies’ earnings because of Covid-19 pandemic and health crisis.
This is also evidenced by the fact that the Fed decreased very recently interest rates to zero levels and the markets keep nosediving. This is an indication that markets are already far sighting and factoring the long-term impacts of current world events because of Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant health crisis.
I am afraid, but current world events will have major impacts on countries and companies’ earnings, which will definitely led to many bankruptcies worldwide.
The recovery from the economic impact of the Covid-19 health crisis will take lot of efforts and prolonged period of time.
I believe there will be potential and key research studies on the financial regulatory ecosystem as related to the Covid-19 health crisis.
For instance, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) that coordinate financial rules and regulatory issues as related to the G-20 economies has issued lately reports to address the financial stability implications of Covid-19.

The response by all to the Covid pandemic is an important area of study for social scientists towards enabling society to better protect itself, not only 'this far in' to the present event, but from the impact of future such events.
Although nobody wants to be affected by COVID-19, it has become a hot topic for academicians and researchers because most of hospitals are having 80% of their capacity of beds occupied by COVID-19.
It is the shear number of patients and the varied presentations, that every one in the hospitals, internists, infectious disease physicians, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists, ICU and emergency team physicians, cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, palliative care physicians are all involved in the care of COVID-19 patients. Virologists, Laboratory workers, nurses, radiologists are all part of the teams. So there is interest for everyone for research, learning and teaching.
