"I believe that mobile learning is particularly beneficial, especially within the framework of the flipped classroom model, as it relies on redistributing learning roles between the teacher and the student. It emphasizes self-directed learning outside the classroom and active interaction inside it.
To ensure the effectiveness of this approach, here are some guidelines to enhance learning efficacy:
Accessibility of materials anytime, anywhere: Ensure educational resources are available across devices and platforms.
Interactive activities via educational apps: Tools like Quizlet or Kahoot can be used to create short interactive tasks (e.g., quick quizzes or educational games) to review key concepts and stimulate active participation.
Collaboration beyond the classroom: Students can collaborate through platforms like Google Docs or other group learning tools, even outside formal class settings."
Mobile learning enables students to access pre-recorded lectures, readings, and interactive materials anytime, preparing them for in-class activities and discussions in a flipped classroom. It also supports collaboration through apps, quizzes, and discussions outside class.
If you have an app for your class, it will be a great result in a flipped classroom. For instance, you can give tasks from the app and students do these tasks at home or before the lesson. During the lesson, you will discuss or solve the problem with them. I consider that the result is great. I have practised this with my students. The app which we use during the class is created by myself. To be honest, I prepared all tasks and lesson objectives but the IT developer helped me in this case.
Mobile learning enhances flipped classrooms by providing flexible access to pre-recorded lessons, interactive quizzes, and collaborative tools anytime, anywhere. This allows students to engage with content at their own pace, freeing classroom time for deeper discussions, problem-solving, and hands-on activities.
Mobile learning enables an anywhere-anytime learning process, allowing students to learn at their own pace without needing to be strict with their learning schedules. Further, it helps them to use their free time more productively. The learning process becomes even more effective as it usually comes with videos, podcasts, illustrations, etc.
