I am trying to use statistics to prove that a ceramic sample has an homogeneous grain size distribution. For that, I got many micrographys at diferent places of the sample and I have plotted the results in graphs. I am using ANOVA and Tukey test to determine if there is or not statistical differences between the grain size distribution x place where the micrographic has been taken, but I can't get a number which represent the similarity between the data though. May you give me a insight about it, maybe another statistic test which can give me that info that i am needing. Thank you!
Similarity of curves or data is to be defined first. Whether the curves or the data are similar with respect to central tendency or with respect to dispersion or with respect to some other characteristic are to be specified clearly. Only then it may be possible for selecting suitable measure, if exists (i.e. if available), for the purpose as mentioned.
