A 35 year male, presented with upper GI bleeding (Haematemesis). On further evaluation, he was found to have duodenal ulcer (during UGI Endoscopy) and sputum positive pulmonary tuberculosis with left upper lobe consolidation. Patient improved with conservative management with ATT and IV octreotide and PPI infusion. The coincidental occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis and peptic ulcer although been described, is a rare phenomenon.
As you have indicated in your question, it is likely that the simultaneous findings of gastric ulcer and pulmonary TB in this patient are just a coincidence. The former are a common disease entity, and the TB prevalence in India is relatively high. It is therefore conceivable that there are in fact many cases where both diseases coincide, but that they a) are not diagnosed or b) not reported in the literature.

It depends probably of the median prevalence of both diseases in every country, mainly related to the mean Helicobacter pylori prevalence and the general conditions of health in the general population
I live in a high prevalent TB disease country and I can say, as others, that pulmonary TB and petic ulcer in the same patient are coincidental diseases. However, it could be found a light increase in the incidence of both conditions in countries with a high prevelence of infections diseases, consideing H. pylori related to peptic ulcer.
Besides, you must discard gastric TB disease, especially if the ulcer is located in an area of the stomach where is not typical por peptic ulcer disease.
I think this could be coincidental diseases, and this's highly depended on the rate of prevalence of either disease in your practising region (prevalence of helicobacter pylori as well).
