Duminda Rajasinghe I have both facilitated workplace learning, development and creativity and taught employees to develop their own "toolbox" for facilitating processes like this themselves. There at many tools, but one we have had great success with is the SWiT-model. The starting point is the (S) situation now (it is about recognition of who we are and were we are): What are we good at? What works? What does not work ... The second element is (Wi) wishes (it is about finding our sources of motivation): What do we need? What are out interests? What are we passionate about? What do we wish for? What are our dreams? ... The third element is (T) to commit (it is about what each and every one is willing to commit to do to move in the direction of our wants, needs, passions, dreams and wishes): What can we do? What is each and everyone willing to commit to do? ... You can find more about this in my research here on ResearchGate. My colleague and I have written a book about this that is one of the most used in Norway: Cooperation and Conflict - to sides of the same challenge. The book is about leading and structuring dialogue to facilitate cooperation, handle conflict and do collective development work systematically.

Creativity is the mental and social process of generating ideas, concepts, and associations: as such it is—very much—the bread and butter of artists, musicians, writers, and suchlike individuals. However, in organizations, creativity must find practical expression toward corporate (not personal) goals in the form of desirable and viable products, services, processes, methods of delivery, and, in the case of governments, policy. (Such outcomes are usually labeled "innovation"). Creative coaching is a relatively new profession meaning to help people develop their creative skills and overcome what barriers may be holding them back: so far, the clientele of creativity coaching has comprised artists, musicians, writers, etc. and to a far, far lesser degree organizations. In organizations, the pursuit of productivity, efficiency, and control frequently undermines creativity (hence innovation) and solutions will likely have to be found elsewhere, in areas outside the domain of creativity coaching.
