Hi!
I am trying to do some phonon calculations for ionic solids. However, there are 90 irreducible representations in my system and it did not finish in my given wall time. How can I restart the calculation?

Well I guess depends which software do you use for the calculations.
1) With FDM in phonopy that's not a problem
2) For vasp with DFPT there are different methods to calculate modes indipendently

You can restart your phonon calculation from an interrupted run if (and only if) you had included the flag "recover=.true.," in your "&inputph" input block of the ph.x code.
