Hi! We are high school students and our topic for our research subject is about mapping water quality using satellite images. How can we utilize satellite images (like using the color of a certain part of the image) to detect water quality? Or do we need any software for this?

In addition, you can process a satellite image , such as Landsat or Sentinel (freely available) on Open source software like QGIS or SAGA GIS to detect the water quality.
