A disaster will speed up international climate action. Covid-19 is a classic example of how man reacts to the inevitable much as we don't like this.

Start removing CO2 from the air city by city. The pollution starts in a city and industrial complexes, therefore, set up an operation to collect this emission gas right near the source. There are methods one can use (scrubbers, etc), but the Global conference has to direct these initiatives. Don't expect governments to undertake such activities when they still subsidize the dirty oil companies ( to produce more emissions)!!

Plant more trees/plants, use public transportation/give up driving.

Cheap gas and too many people don’t believe in climate change or science. If gas is $2/gallon, raise the gas tax to $2 per gallon. Use those taxes for road maintenance and help support and expand green energy options. Electric cars are great, but need more recharging stations. And I heard that by adjusting diet of cattle, methane emissions can be reduced. Our annual county registration taxes electric and hybrid cars higher — that is a mistake and discourages green efficiency. From my stream monitoring, keeping forest shade along streams helps reduce stream temperature, and generally good for fish habitat, but unsure if the added temperatures would make much difference to ocean temperatures. Suspended Sediment and particulates can increase stream and water temperatures by absorbing more sunlight. More experimentation in using hydrogen fuel cells for long distance trucking seems interesting. Maybe increased use of high speed railroads for transport could be helpful. synchronizing traffic light and routes to keep traffic moving, reducing the frequent stops and starts.

You need to motivate both private and government sectors to increase funds to generate renewable energy. Then you need to build vehicles run by them to expand the use of renewable energy.

To convince the decision-makers you might show them the benefits both financially and environmentally. Show them the problems associated with conventional fuels and show some statistics about how renewable fuel would benefit the countries economy.
