To enhance the performance of centrifugal pump, composite impeller can play a significant role. I have gone through many research paper but could not trace paper related to manufacturing and selection of a typical composite material for the same. Can you share your views related to it.
Selection of composite impeller material is mainly dependent on the pumped fluid. Manufacturing process can be fixed after that. If you consider some corrosive fluid as the pumped fluid, entire pumps are being manufactured in GFRP (including the volute casings). Excuse me Sir. If you need to make experimental task and you can scale the process , possibly you can obtain the geometry that you need with a part made layer by layer (3D impression process).
