Over the last decades, the global community has seen a surge in high-speed windstorms especially in some countries in Pacific Asia such as Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and others. The number of houses destroyed and damaged by storms has greatly increased in Vietnam, causing a significant impact on inhabitant’s life the country's economy. Problems that should be considered are a lack of investigations into the impact of strong wind speeds on residential structures, as well as careless solutions to adaptation plans in the future.
