Recently, there is an increase in Fish costs and also there is a new parasite that cause harm to fisheries stock, what is the best way to solve this ?

Dear Mohamed, the increase of the fish costs in Egypt may due different reasons including the decline of fisheries resources because over fishing for large sized fishes and larvae, additional to the increase of fishmeal cost in aquaculture. also, there are other reasons. while the second question about parasite, of caurcse it is danger causes the high rate of fish mortality but it is located in certain lakes not in all fisheries resources.
So, if we want to evaluate resources especially that infected by such parasite, we have to firstly get the previous background, then catch samples and count the parasite and the number of fish infected by this parasite.

In fact, this parasite has been seen in many lakes, in Egypt from more than 10 years ago. The current production of lakes and past production can be compared over 10 years ago and than calculate Fmsy is attributed to biological, environmental and biodiversity changes

But are the 10 years data available? If so how can we reach it?
Also, do you suggest solution for restoring lakes?
