How can we do AFM characterization of pure lithium metal..?

we need oxide free Li surface to do AFM so please let me share how can i prepare sample of Li metal?

You should prepare your sample in a glove box under an inert atmosphere. After that you should handle your sample in an inert box to keep it away from O2 then put it in a vacuum AFM. You can see the attached picture that showed a vacuum AFM.
