Security experts are constantly coming up with new plans and techniques to fend off cyberattacks because they are constantly evolving. In response, the NIST has just unveiled four new, globally standardised encryption algorithms, three of which are anticipated to be ready by 2024 and the rest in the years to come. These algorithms were chosen from 69 submissions by cryptography specialists from a variety of nations as part of the NIST's Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardisation project, which was launched in 2016. The algorithms that were chosen were then made public for analysis and potential cracking by experts. Four were chosen after several iterations of open and transparent evaluation:
