Currently, there exist a lot of chatbots, such as Alexa of Amazon, Siri of Apple, and so on. I was wondering, if there exist any frameworks of character or personality types (e.g., from psychology) which could be integrated in the development of human-like chatbots? I think, it is crucial to reflect what kind of characters/personalities exist and which one of them could be used for the chatbot (depending on his task). Thanks for your help.

Hi Sara,
As far as I know, there is no framework that can be easily applied to the design of a chatbot's character or personality. However, research in psychology, human-computer interaction, and related areas has studied many human-like characteristics of chatbots or conversational agents and how they may be used to give them a personality/character.
