How can we compare the extrapolation Richardson with laws of Dahlquist?

The accuracy of the calculated values of the initial value problem for the ODE is increased when we use of extrapolation Richardson for the stable multi-step methods with constant coefficients. Is this contradiction to the laws of Dahlquist, if given that it takes place for the stable multistep methods with maximum precision?( Dahlquist,1956)
