Due to Covid-19 and social distance which causes closing universities and schools and making most of the lectures to be given online. I am thinking of the applications that computer vision can help to improve the e-learning experience for students. for example, handwriting recognition, students attendance, learning behaviour detection and etc. please advice on other applications, tools and techniques that can be investigated by the researchers in this area.

Hi! It seems that what you are thinking of are elements of teacher-student control, which do not work in the same way when lessons are recorded or broadcasted. Of course this can be done, but I think the focus concerning what digital ICTs can do could be shifted into more meaningful applications. Instead of control of student presence and identification of their behaviour, focus instead of making their learning better. Increase student peer interaction and feeling of social, teaching and content presence, use learning analytics in combination with adaptive learning to individualise teaching, for optimal student learning. That is better to use ICTs for, concentrating on learning, not at formal obedience as if they were in an old classroom.
We can use CV during online classes to check the behavior of students e.g student engagement during the class , analyze interest level. By doing this we can improve the teaching methods that makes to engage the students in a better way . Another way is that to enhance the cooperation among students , place them into a group of interested gropus .
The online class has to be as interactive as possible. Using some softwares like Kahoot. Gasification in education is required now more than before.

Firstly want to say , "something is better than nothing", during this pandemic COVID-19, we had nothing to do with in home and also schools and colleges were also get closed and even nothing was open so make or to fill this gap we had the only option for our childrens and family member to come online. i.e., taking online classes was our only option and i gona say yes it is very important to learn with thr help of computer and also its working however, less as compared to physical classes but it somehow seems to be benificial in this time.
I agree Mohd Javed but taking classes on line for long time is not good for many areas or specializations such as medical schools and engineering schools.
Yes, u too right in this case but is there any other solution right now for not choosing online classes . I know there may be many difficulties like network failure, not availability of appropriate setup but its not for all people . We are choosing this method(platform) for a very short period of time till this pandemic ends only.
The learning will be enhanced as platforms are available to ensure the objectivity of the work of students and that it is demonstrated that it is the students who answer their exams, there is already a whole set of parallel institutions that offer to answer the exams online. I believe that it is not only the vision of the computer, we must move more towards the vision of online teaching.
Mohd Javed and Wilmer Lopez , I agree with you both. Online teaching as part of our system is the way forward. We have to engage in research and pull out our creativity to achieve the goals we set out in the online environment.
In my opinion, the most important issue to be investigated is the level of information gathered by children/students from the remote and normal classes in comparison. How different the attention is? How different the behavior demonstrated? How young people percept the static and dynamic learning process? How different the classes with and without a teacher are percepted?
