I have added Sr/Na/Mg to the gypsum precipitation solution and want to study the Sr-gypsum interaction by solid states NMR would you please guide me?
1- Can solid states NMR tell me about surface adsorption?
2- Can solid states NMR distinguish between surface adsorption or structure incorporation?
3- Can solid states NMR tell me Sr and SO4 (of gypsum) binding?
4- How much is the solid states NMR detection limit? I mean if I have 2ppm or 32ppb Sr then can I detect the Sr peak?
Thanks for your reply. I did XRD and saw Na and Sr incorporation to the gypsum crystal. they have made solid solutions with gypsum. Can I use solid states NMR as complimentary technique to prove Na and Sr incorporation or surface adsorption on crystal?
I dissolved the gypsum particles and characterised the solution by ICP-MS-OES also XRD results show the shift in XRD peaks.
