Dear all,
In a part of my research, calculating the crop yield reduction due to salinity of flooding water in coast is desired.
FAO provides info on how to calculate soil salinity based on salinity in irrigated water as a long-term process. However, in flood which is occured only in one season as a short term event, it is assumed that soil salinity is not the same as that in long term.
Does anybody know how to calculate soil salinity based on salinity of seawater due to sudden and short term event such as flood in coast? or is there any equation to calculate salinity of soil based on salinity of seawater?
I really appreciate if anybody can provide me with such information.
Best,
Shima
