Forat - In teaching - learning process, students with personal disabilities have a condition which may restrict their mental, sensory, or mobility functions to undertake or perform a task in the same way as a person who does not have a disability.
People with disabilities often have unique insights about their disability and their situation. In formulating and implementing policies, laws, and services, people with disabilities should be consulted and actively involved.
There is need to ensure right to care, protection and security for children with disabilities in the class room and outside. In order to create an inclusive classroom where all students are respected, it is important to use language that prioritizes the student over his or her disability. Disability labels can be stigmatizing and perpetuate false stereotypes where students who are disabled are not as capable as their peers. In general, it is appropriate to reference the disability only when it is pertinent to the situation.
Not my specialty but I think that Special research on disabilities should be advanced, and specialized national institutes and other similar organizations should be actively utilized for developing and training personnel engaged in health and welfare of persons with disabilities.
