Dear all

As it is known, the corrosion rate is related to corrosion current. The higher the corrosion current the higher the corrosion rate. Also the lower the corrosion potential the higher the corrosion rate. I have two coatings: coating 1 has a low corrosion current but low corrosion potential and coating 2 has high corrosion current but high corrosion potential. How do you characterize corrosion in this case? Does the coating that has the lowest corrosion current the less corrosive despite having a lower corrosion potential?
