As Joel Osteen states, “ people of excellence go the extra mile to do what's right.” To achieve excellence in teaching, teachers must, first of all, follow the principles advocated by the philosophy of education which define the value and worth of the learners involved in an educational transaction. Excellence is not an inherent quality; rather, it is an art won by training and habituation. Therefore, to act as sources of inspiration , teachers need to take each teaching situation as a unique experience with unique individuals having specific needs and to constantly improve themselves in terms of content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and the skills of interaction required for establishing rapport between themselves and the learners. Teacher's habituation to the quality of excellence creates a learning process whereby students are motivated to learn in ways that make a perpetual , substantial, and positive influence on how they think, act, and feel. In other words, teaching excellence can change the learners' visions about life by elevating them to a level where they can use their critical thinking strategies in order to make the learning experience more meaningful because the teacher's attribute of excellence can be a magical solution for satisfying the myriad needs of various groups of learners.

-First, love and respect the profession.

-Then, read and try to know more about your subject.

-Do not narrow your level of knowledge (generalist),

-be smart,

-try to treat all students and don't be biased.

In order for the teacher to be excellent in his work,he must be a beloved figure among the students and deal with them as a friend or cap, and must be deep in his specialty and add all new information to the students.

Excellence in teaching is achieved by:

1. Follow the right teaching methodologies based on the disposition of learners (age bracket, learning styles, knowledge levels etc.)

2. Let learners believe that you are in to assist them learn and achieve successes in their studies. Do this by constantly encouraging and motivating them (It would surprise you that seemingly dull learners would strive to excel and surely they would).

3. Engage in constant assessment of your teaching methods through student and faculty appraisals (It will help you to know areas you need to improve)

4. Always research and dig for new and proactive teaching methods that are currently in use with successful track records. Plan on how best to localize it to suit your classroom context to heighten learning outcomes.

5. Always set goals as a teacher regarding the number of students (especially dull students) you want to assist to take the bull by the horn in their studies. Be determined to help the weak and frail academically. That shows how excellent you are as a teacher.

Excellence in teaching can only be achieved, if you can teach your subject out-of-memory (even without advanced technical aid programs), and if you are willing (motivated) to share your insights in inter-active communication. E-Learning-Methodology can reinforce these pedagogical qualities, because they are not limited to assembly pedagogics or direct physical contact.

Just one thing ,I try to be better teacher then the previous day...excellence can be achieved only by improvements

1.Look at all the students as you teach them. This will give them an inclusive feeling.

2.Prepare well but don't be robotic in delivery.

3.Enliven the lecture with humour.

4. Don't be condescending. Treat them as equals or, better still, as friends.

When students realize that their sucess make you happy.

It is when you devise ways on how to get even the most difficult students because all students can learn not just in the same way.

Your deep knowledge of specialization, and students thanking you for your efforts, means achieving excellence.

No doubt that effective teaching is a crutial determinant of student improvement in the school. As a teacher you not only have a direct impact on student achievement but also student engagement and motivation for learning. What you do in the classroom and how they interact with students is vital.

All the observations above are very useful and important. I would add that extremely importanat is also to evaluate impact of teaching/learning and get feedback on your efforts from your students.
