Recent studies claim surpassing the state perfomance on the LFW database using simple linear metric learning techniques, something which is counter-intuitive due to the fcat that the problem is nonlinear!!!...Some of this results are very optimistic due to the use of a wrong protocol or a wrong reading of the database ( for instance fold overlapping).How good journals detect this kind of errors?.

This issue is very interresting for journals reputation.
