Any luck with this? I would like to do the same thing.
The following link suggests using the Model Definition Section's Interpolation Function. They suggest to not use the Global Definitions. Then import the data file as a table.
I formatted my data into a cvs file with the first 3 columns as x,y,z coordinates of nodes and the 4th column as the dependent variable of interest. My data set had about 1 million entries and COMSOL stopped responding.
My other idea is to use the external function feature and write something myself in C but that seems time consuming.
(I know this is a dead thread but an answer should exist to this question.)
this question had asked about a year ago, in that time I wanted use Comsol for Aeroacoustics simulation as well as using LEE solver based on importing numerical result from a CFD code to Comsol. I changed software to Fluent in that time for some reasons.
I probably will face with this concern in the future since I will have another project with Comsol, so I keep your suggestion in my mind.
Thank you so much for your kindness and paying attention to my question. Surely it is nice of you.
No problem. I am trying to figure this out now and this page shows up higher in google searches than the COMSOL page so I wanted to leave an answer for you are future Googlers. I'll update my answer if I finally figure it out.
I am not sure, I have changed my mind. this question was my concern 2 years ago. Although I am a comsol user, I never done that, May you please explain what you want to do exactly?
