Hello,
I am trying to build a circuit with IGBT and RC circuit. In which i have a situation where the emitter of the IGBT is connected to the capacitor. When the capacitor voltage is charged to voltage level higher than the gate emitter voltage, the IGBT switches to off state. How can i solve this problem . I have attached the LTspice circuit for understanding .
Input voltage 200VDC

For your circuit to work you must control your transistor from a floating control pulse generator. This can be achieved by different methods. One of the most applicable methods is to drive the transistor gate to emitter through a pulse transformer fed by the pulse generator. In this way the control pulse will float above the emitter potential.
There are some other solutions.
