I am very new to CloudSim. I want to simulate some failure answer that's why I have used workflowSim since it has ready example for failure. I would like to measure availability and reliability and how they depend on charge that is the number of requests/time unit. I want also to measure the MTTF and MTTR. A last question please , could we consider the cloudlet as a PaaS or SaaS over the VM?

SaaS stands for Software as a service. It designs the appllication that are implemented on the cloud
PaaS stands for Plateform as a Service. It designs the plateforms that are offred through the cloud.
VM stands for virtual machine. They are used for virtualization that is fundamental for the cloud. They are used by IaaS.
IaaS : Infrastructure as a service. It refers to the offered infrastructure through the cloud like servers, storage, network...
The cloud is paradigm where you do not own any computing resource but you rent it according to your need and pay according to your consupmtion.
SaaS, PaaS and IaaS are the different service models of the cloud.
As such, could you find models to calculate reliability for these services.
I want mainly to stress the architecture level. Could we talk about a reliability for architecture?
I have also concluded through the state of the art I did, that reliability is granted with extreme difficulty on software. Do you confirm this remark?
