Dear colleagues,
I collected soil samples 6 months ago and after I homogenize and grind them I kept them in polyethylene bags. I want to check their Eh value now. However I suspect that long waiting time might affect their Eh values!? What do you think?
Secondly, I have SenTix ORP which has platinum electrode and ceramic junction. Is it suitable if I prepare 1:2.5 slurry (as in pH measurement) and measure its Eh using this probe?

To get a representative reading, I think that the samples have to be taken straight away in the field or directly after collection from the field. Once they have been sieved they wont give any meaningful reading. I hope this helps.
