you could use the flash output of your camera in order to generate an analogue signal which you than feed into your monitor (maybe as an additonal "ECG lead").

Otherwise you could figure out if you can synchronize the times of the camera (video recoring computer) and the monitor and afterwards synchronize the signals digitally.

So nice you could answer so quickly. I intend to use a Blackfly S Mono 1.6 MP USB3 Vision (https://eu.ptgrey.com/blackfly-s-mono-16-mp-usb3-vision-sony-imx273-2) that has a GPIO connection but I don't know how to control it and it's out of my line of competence. I'm thinking about using a button or pedal to discharge the flash and the same button should control a relay that will generate a signal to be feeded in an ECG channel but I don't know where could I buy a signal generator that would give like 0,5 mV spike on the ECG lead. The monitor will use a 5 lead ECG like in the picture so I presume I could use the V lead to input the synchronising signal (while still having D1, D2 and D3 active. Could this be done while the electrode is coupled to the patient so I won't miss a lead?

Hi Andrei,

typically in the program which controls the camera you can setup that the camera outputs a signal for each frame. This signal is provided via one pin of the GPIO. What you need than is a small electrical circuit which converts the flash output voltage into a range which can be recorded by the ECG hardware. In principle it than should be possible to use any lead as far as the monitor does no combination of leads.

However, as i do neither work with this camera nor with the monitor it is difficult to be more conrete. But in principle it should work.
