I am new to these network simulators (OSM, SUMO and NS2), but need to use the simulators for a project i am currently working on. i am total a beginner at these simulators, therefore, i will appreciate answers for beginners. And video tutorials will be greatly appreciated. thanks
I would suggest you to start using NS-3. It has got WAVE module particularly for VANETs with examples. Also, an active google group https://groups.google.com/g/ns-3-users/c/nbMoMHBGeow?pli=1

I'm still yet to get how I can configure RSU (internet) and make the vehicles to communicate with it.. please I still need more help on it. I'm using NS3 SUMO

I have not worked with RSUs in my scenarios yet. However, to the best of my knowledge you will have to configure RSUs manually in your scenario script. RSUs would require two network interfaces ( for wired connection to TA , wireless connection with vehicles). You can collect all the RSUs into one node-set, and vehicles in a different node-set.
