have you tried magnetic separation? Hematite and bornite have a little difference in their electron densities and magnetic properties.

Quassay, thanks for the reference!

Mattioli, yes I have tried Frantz. I could not separate the phases there. Maybe if I tweak some more but I am getting sceptical. If I would succeed I will let you know:-)
