The chronocoulometry(CC) mode in bio-logic is associated with Chronoamperometry(CA) mode. However, CA uses constant potential and CC uses sweep potential. How can I change the mode from CA to CC?
Dear Yan Jiang , chronocoulometry means that you measure the charge vs; time, so it is generally associated with chronoamperometry because there is a direct correlation between current and charge. Which experiment are you trying to perform ? A voltammetry with a limit in the charge ? Best regards, Nicolas
The experiment I am trying to do is Q vs t at the potential from -0.2 V to 0.5 V. However, the settings in the biologic is that I can only change current instead change Initial and Final potential.
I attached the similar experiment plot. Please check it.
Dear Jiang Yan, the experiment you show is just a potential step, during which you measure the current. As you know, Q = It, so if you have current and time you have the charge. In EC-Lab you can choose to plot the results as Ewe vs. time or I vs. time and also Q vs. time.
If you choose a sequence of two chronoamperometry, you can perform your experiment: one chronoamperometry at -0.2 V during a given time and another at 0.5 V during a different given time. I enclosed a settings file for your perusal. Best regards, Nicolas
Thank your advice. I will try them. At the same time, I would like to highlight Chronocoulometry involves measurement of the charge vs. time response to an applied potential step waveform in a short. It sounds your recommendations can work!
