I want to fill a microcapillary with a salt solution in for example toluene, ethanol or water, and immediately close the capillary after filling. The capillaries are flat, and quite short (1 cm), making for example melting and then twisting the capillary impossible. I also do not want any mixing of the sealant with the solution. Any ideas?

Use an epoxy cement intended for ceramics or glass if it is too short for flame sealing. In the latter case the sample is best frozen first in liquid N2.
