Please I need the help of people in the group. I have 5 level likert scale to rank the transportation needs of the people (about 20 variables). Data have been entered in SPSS. How can I go about it using SPSS. Thank you all.
You can use Friedman's ANOVA to rank variables in SPSS. However, it might work better if you had more levels in your variables. It is available under Analyze > Nonparametric > Repeated Samples, then choose the test on the Options tab.
If it comes back positive, double click on the output box to open the Model Viewer then change the View to Pairwise Comparisons in the bottom right hand corner. This will then show you which pairs of your 20 variables are significantly different with an adjustment for post hoc testing.
