How can I proceed to carry out an MS-PCR to genotype a polymorphic gene in Plasmodium falciparum?

I'd like to genotype a gene in plasmodium falciparum gene, which method can use that doesn't require RFLP. Which MS-PCR can I use?

Hi Nkemngong dominic nkafu,

You may design SNPs specific PCR primer. Using this primer, u can optimised amplification condition using both positive control (With SNP) and negative control (without SNP). You can find many paper dealing Pfdhfr and Pfdhps mutation detection using SNPs specific PCR primer. If you have just one SNP, this method is okay otherwise for more SNPs RFLP is far better.
