I have a large dataset (in Excel) of HR "people" data (job title, location, etc) and I need to perform statistical analysis to search for correlation among this information, particularly if there is a relationship between voluntary termination with location, job title, education level. I'm sure I need to make my data quantitative or make a frequency table or something along those lines but it has been too many semesters since STATS class. HELP!
Whichever software you are using irrespective of your data size correlation between data items is obtainable easily. Correlation may be defined as
r = cov(x,y)/(sigma(x)sigma(y))
where data items x and y are involved and sigma(.) is the standard deviation function. After calculation, r is tested for significance.

. You can use R and the software RStudio to perform your statistical analyses. Concerning your analyses you can take a closer look at contingency tables for instance.I hope this helps a little bit.

You need to assign numbers to the job titles like (1 for grade, 2 location and so on). The use the correl in excel to perform correlation.
