i am looking to model the vortex induced vibration of the 3d catenary type pipe, can any one suggest any software where it can be done?
or else is it easy to do coding for viv in any of the open source program of even in matlab?

actually i am looking to find the response (motion time history) of the long flexible cable with very small bending stiffness but significant axial stiffness(that is with tension).
what problem i am facing is that i want to take into account, vortex induced vibration due to flow separation
now i think the question is correct
so can you please suggest me any software related to that

CFX Ansys
Coupling of Star ccm+ and ABAQUS
FSI Ansys ( Fluent and Transient Structural)
But the best way is fluent and writing a UDF code for motions
