I have the Markforged FFF printer with the carbon fiber filament (CFF) as well as the onyx filament for 3D printing carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastics. I 3D printed the CFRTPs plate, of which i can apply individual properties to their layers. This is because, the first 2 layers are onyx (bottom) and 6 layers are CFF (Middle) then last 2 layers are onyx (this looks more like a sandwich structure). However, I am just concerned about the inter-facial ppt between the lamina and the onyx layer. I do hope neglecting won't affect the overall mechanical response from the model.
However, if it is necessary, which Fe-software is better for PBCs: Abaqus, Ansys or Digimat?
