I have PLLA solution using chloroform-toluena mixture as solvent and I want to add collagen to PLLA solution. I already tried to make collagen solution with acetat acid as solvent but when I mixed collagen solution and PLLA solution, it did not mixed properly. Then I tried to add collagen powder into PLLA solution directly but it looked like guava juice, mixed but not dissolved. Should I change PLLA solvent beside chloroform? Or is there any other method to make a PLLA collagen mixture? Please help me.
Collagen doesn't always play nice with solvents like this. Are you trying to mix collagen and PLLA or just combine them somehow? You might want to try to make the PLLA structures, and then coat with collagen (you can use EDC to do that, IIRC).
Normal solvents for polymers are dichloromethane, n-dimethylformamide, etc. at least for electrospinning. You might want to try those. People have electrospun (read dissolve, then push through syringe) collagen, but it's always denatured, and they're done it in ethanol + 10x PBS, and I think more standard electrospinning solvents.

Also, you could change the order, since dissolved polymer solutions are thick and saturated, normally. You could dissolve the collagen in a solvent, and add the polymer, or even make two separate solutions. Also, sonication can help dissolve these solutions since they're so thick.
I just try dissolve collagen in dmso then I add into plla solution (chloroform + toluena as solvent) with stirring. at the first time it is ok. I think they can mix properly but when I add more collagen it has been worst. I dont know why.
