having a time resolved probe.. I do not understand exactly your drawing, but yes at -100V you should be largely in the ion saturation current. If you know your probe surface size and have a good current reading, that should roughly OK.. at -100V you create secondary electrons from your probe which would look like an ion current (small mistake, depends on how exact you want to be..)
explain Y and X ? R is to have the voltage drop related to the flowing current?

In fact, I'm trying to read the current, by measuring the voltage drop at the resistance R (100 ohm) (I = V / R).
The X and Y are juste the cables which are connected to the oscilloscope.
ok, that is what I thought.. in principle it is right.. but practicaly, you have then to be extremely careful on those impedances.. a too high R will limit your current, and also on X the choice is not easy.. normally the probe is scanned in the bias voltage, it has amplifiers to detect the small currents (since the probe should be small enough to not modify your plasma). you probably will find some circuits in the net.
