Would you like to give a little more explanation of what you mean by cash effect of business transaction? Do you mean to say only for the transactions which don't have explicit cash as a mode? Is it internal or external?

If you are referring to different cashflow sitrations I suggest to input data in the cashflow statement and run a financial computer model for getting projected Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value, or/and other parameters you want to use of meaauring effects.

With different cashflows, most probably you will get say different IRR's and then you can compare the influence of each cashflow

The obtaining of treasure of companies has a high difficulty. The free cash flow is not an accounting variable which have a behavior according to continued management of companies, still less in period of financial crisis. The accounting methodology based on Edgeworth's box gives a consistent result with macroeconomics variables and to singular analysis of financial situatiion of companies also. Hi John,

Before getting into specifics, look at the financial statements, cash flow statements and then accounting ratios with the aim of establishing trends; over several years. From there go into the specifics, without a foundation to build off your analysis will seem overwhelming.

Based on the original question, that is the best advice I can give. The journals can help with the details but only if you have a basis to compare from.
