Ferrocene is insoluble in water, but in 1 NanoLetters paper the authors made it soluble in water and they did not explain how they did it. I also email them but they have not replied to my queries. If anyone know kindly tell me how to make Ferrocene soluble in PBS.

Try varying the pH values of the PBS solutions, changes in pH values can affect PBS solubility properties.
The ’B’ in PBS means buffer. That means it’s very resistant to pH change. I suspect that the ferrocene is dispersed (with an appropriate surfactant) rather than dissolved.
But how come the author of the above mentioned paper from Nano Letters dissolved 10mM-Ferrocene in PBS with 0.1M-KCl. Alan F Rawle
I cannot comment on what someone else does obviously. If you get no response from the authors and the experiment mentioned doesn’t work, then heat the system to boiling point.
Saud Asif Ahmed I have read the article and nowhere does it say that the ferrocene was dissolved in the PBS. Read carefully: Quartz nanopipettes were backfilled with a 10uL solution containing 10 mM Ferrocene prepared in
100 mM PBS (pH 7, supplemented with 0.1 M KCl)
Just states that there was 10 mM Ferrocene in the system.
