Dear All, 

May I know the best way to do make a simple light sheet for a sample of 1cm x 1cm ?

I have a camera with telelens, so the way to obtain the image might not be a problem for me. But I am not so sure how to get the light sheet plane (as in attachment).

I have already tried to use a lamp and small slit from hard paper to put in front of the lamp. It is to allow only the plane of light to pass through.

But they are a lot of problems

(e.g.  (1) the light plane does not bright enough to pass through my sample and give me a clear image,

(2) the light plane is actually come out in the same shape of light source (my light source does not have a perfect linear alignment)). 

May I have your recommendations in this?

(1) Which item could be suitable for a light source for this application? (possibly provide Item No. and Brand of the product) 

(2) Any recommendation for lens ?, can I use the normal lens 

(3) If you know any company which is able to provide simple setup for this, but it is not too expensive, it will be very appreciated.
