How can I load base-functionalized COFs with Sn ions through a coordination reaction between atoms in the framework and Sn ions?

In a paper, a two-dimensional imine-based POF (Pd/COFLZU1) has been reported to support palladium ions and NPs through the confinement of polymer and coordination of imine to palladium. Hence, I reflect on the possibility of embedding the Sn ions into the base-functionalized COFs via chemical reaction. I am in sore need of guides. Thanks a lot for the potential help.
