Dear All,
I am analyzing a group of data to see if changes in CS are correlated with performance of a person. To find the correlation I performed the pearson correlation, where I got strong r but a non-significant p. I don't know how to explain that. Anyone can please help me?
I have four independent variables (CS1, CS2, CS3 and CS4) and one dependent variable “performance”.
For CS1 (N=101; r = 0.061; p= 0.498), CS2 (N=101; r =-0.064; p=0.264) CS3 (N=101; r = -0.152; p= 0.065) CS4 (N=101; r =0.153; p=0.063)
One of my hypothesis is “Hypothesis 1”
Hypothesis 1: Having high scores on CS1 is suitable for performance of a person.
As the r value of CS1 is 0.061 and it is positively correlated but it is not statistically significant, can I say my hypothesis is partially supported?
Thanks in Advance,
Surajit
