I made two electrocoagulation (EC). The first was to evalute if the equipment of DC power supply is working well, for this step I used congenic water (solution with a lot of dissolved salts) and it was degraded at 5 volts, a current density of 0.1, distance between electrodes of 2 cm in electrodes of Aluminum and pH above neutrality. The second treatment I used my soft drinks experimental unit, in this case I want to reduce COD and others parameters, however, at 10 volt the current density reduced to 0.003 in a distance between electrodes of 2 cm with electrodes of Aluminum but at 2.53 pH.

The result of the treatment of both cases is ilustrate in the images below. Soft drink EC (black solution) and congenic water (yellow solution)

I think soft drink EC it's not effective at pH 2.8 but I would like to receive some recomendations for improve this technique for get my goal like increase the area of electrodes, reduce voltage, change pH.
