the aloe vera leaves are gel like substance how can i dry this leaves and prepare aqueous extract.
Is there a reason you can't extract the fresh leaves in water, and lyophilize (freeze-dry) that material? That gel is mostly water anyway. Alternatively, try freeze-drying the leaves.
Or you can squeeze out the gel and dry the leaves and gel separately.
you have to take out the muscular juicy part between area of leaf and keep it for drying

If my understanding is correct,
You are expecting to to extract the whole leaf extract of Aloe, then it is very simple. no need of drying.
Major portion of the aloe is water.
You can crush the whole leaf and spray dry to get concentrated paste extract. reconstitute with water and filter though necessary filter media( depending upon what molecule you are looking for).
Just you need water extract then use as such.
so, in this case extract nothing but juice of aloe.( just filter the juice by whatman or desired filter. your filtrate is the water extract of Aloe.

yeah i agree with peeling off the leaves and squeeze to get the extract
It depend on what part needed for the extraction. If its the gel thats the juicy part, just squaze the leaves.But if its the whole part then the issue of crushing the part will be the best. However, if its the outer part, it depend on how you like it either dried form which you can after oven or air drying. For fresh sample you can remove the gel then crush the peels. But make sure you have the per centage of the sample and that of water/solute/ solvent.
what is the procedure for determining total phenolic content of aleo vera? can i use gel directly for calculate Total Phenolic content?
