My MSc thesis supervisor has asked me to create a vertical cross-section of divergence. I've u and v wind data and had to use hdivg function in GrADS to display vertical cross-section without success. Here is my script (for convenience I provide only the crucial part) ...

'set lon 15 55'

'set lat -9'

'set lev 925 200'

'set t 3015

'd hdivg(u,v)'

...and I get this error ...

Error from HDIVG: Invalid dimension environment

Horizontal environment (X, Y Varying) is required
