try to choose a small bias step, or change the method ( maxtrap=10....), also u can ramp the bias, for example

vanode=0.1

vanode=0.5

vanode=0 vstep=0.01 vfinal=1.4 name=anode

Try to change the work function of the electrodes. It will converge.

This error completely depends on what kind of device are you going to simulate and what kind of models you used for your simulation (BTBT, SRH, BGN,...) and how did you configure the mesh structure of your device. Please let me know what kind of semiconductor devices you have emulated (MOSFET, TFET, Solar Cell, ...)?
