Are there any lists, open for free download on the Internet? Actually I'd like to publish my article in any philosiphical journal from Web of Science or Scopus... Never tried before... Would appreciate any advice))
One way of finding which journals are on WOS or Scopus is to check the Ulrichsweb global serial directory that classifies journals in all disciplines and informs the user where each journal is indexed, but this database is used by subscription. Librarians are often using this database in their work, so you could find out in your institutional library if they are using Ulrichsweb database. A free source on the net are the publishers' web sites. They usually inform about the journal impact factor and relate it to the database where it is indexed.
If in the publisher of the journal site it is mentioned that it has an impact factor, this means that it is indexed in the Web of science, if it has a CiteScore than it is in Scopus.
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is an annual publication by Clarivate Analytics, which provides information about scholarly journals in the natural sciences and social sciences, selected to have impact factors. It has been integrated with the Web of Science and is accessed from the Web of Science-Core Collections. You can access the latest Journal Citation Reports by searching “JCR on the web”.
A complete list of journal titles covered in the 2018 edition of JCR is available at:
An additional list of journals for the first time listing in the JCR is also available at: https://clarivate.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Crv_JCR_First-Impact-Factor-List_2018_A4_v3.pdf.
Use the following link to find out whether your preferred journal is Scopus indexed. You can also note down “CiteScore” and other bibliometric values from this site: https://www.scopus.com/sources/
