How can I find a neutral axis in forging of large diameter half-elbow (dia = 42") from iron plates.

I am studying the forming of large dia 2-half elbows( Dia greater than 40"). In this case, we are cutting the plate-blank in arc geometry and then forging them in dies to make half elbows. Then these halves are welded.

There are quality issues due to large blank size and forging dies. My approach is, that if we could manage to know the exact size of the blank required and the neutral axis for its bending, then we can control the ripples and thus the weld overlapping.

For the same I don't know how to get the exact blank size; and the neutral axis.
